New POA law delayed

2/27/09 update: Governor Paterson signed the bill (A4392) on February 25, 2009. The new power of attorney law will take effect on September 1, 2009.

The New York State Senate passed the Assembly’s bill delaying the effective date of the new Power of Attorney law until September 1, 2009.

Forget the Oscars. This is the real stuff of drama.
